If you’re wondering what it’s like working with Bella Human, then you aren’t alone. I wondered the same thing not long ago!
You see, I spend most of my time in front of screens, and I used to get headaches at the end of the day, but not anymore! Yes, maybe my headaches stopped because I got glasses (🤓) and no longer strain my eyes. Or MAYBE they stopped because at the same time, I fell in love with the voice of Bella Human.
If you haven’t heard her voice yet, then listen to the first of her songs that I fell in love with. (You’re welcome in advance.)
Bella and I met as classmates and friends at NYU. We were good friends, but we never collaborated at school. I wanted to feature her on my EP, but I was too afraid to ask. “She’s so talented, and maybe she’s busy, and maybe she doesn’t want to…” When I told a close friend about my dilemma, he said “knock it off! You are talented too! Don’t let fear run your life!” He sounded right, so I went with it.
Turns out, he was right! Bella was excited to work with me! Me?!?
It felt great to be supported by someone I hold in such high esteem. I gave her some loose instruction, but I mostly just wanted her to add her own flavor, and she exceeded my high expectations. Her voice and her vocal production add so much depth to the work as a whole. She breathes a whole new life into “How You Like Me Now,” and she’s a featured vocalist and vocal producer on “Tangled in Light.” I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Speaking of which, she’s currently working on a new EP about making friends through technology. Here are two more of my personal favorites from her recent releases.
If Bella had a yelp page, I would be giving it 5 out of 5 stars! I can’t wait to bug her when I begin recording my second EP this fall!
Peace out!
